Boris Albul joined Gates Capital Partners in 2023, bringing 25 years of experience in the investment industry to GCP.  Before that, Mr. Albul was Chief Investment Officer at EPIQ Capital and Head of Risk at ICONIQ Capital, two large multi-family offices in San Francisco focused on ultra-high-net-worth founder families. Previously, Mr. Albul founded and ran a quantitative equity hedge fund, was a financial economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, led portfolio analytics at Allianz fund of hedge funds, and worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers. 

Mr. Albul serves as a member of the PIMCO Wealth Management Advisory Council and co-leads the Investment Committee for Redwood Coast Medical Services.

Mr. Albul earned a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the State University of Moldova, an MBA from the University of Iowa, and a Master of Financial Engineering and a Ph.D. in Finance and Real Estate from UC Berkeley.

Mr. Albul lives with his wife and two daughters in Denver, Colorado. He enjoys running, skiing, sailing, cooking, and traveling in his free time.
